Brotherly Love

I bathed the boys the other night and after the bath I told Lukas to go sit by the fire to keep warm, while I get their pajamas gathered up. It was such a priceless moment to see, when I came into the living room, Brady had sat down right next to Lukas.

I love that he was looking up at his big brother, almost waiting for a reaction to his lovin'.

these boots are made for walking..

and thats just what they'll do...

Stitch 6 Bee - My February Block

I mentioned earlier about my bees, and showed the fabric that I have chosen. I decided to document the step by step pics that I took for this block. You can find the original tutorial HERE.
I made all the size cuts that were needed for this block. And then separated them out into 12 piles, one for each member. Making sure to keep a variety in each block.

Here are the fabrics that I will be doing in my test block:
After the necessary cuts are made to each fabric, the building of the block begins.
The First layer:
 The Second layer:
The Third layer:

The Fourth layer:

Once I receive all the blocks back, they will be cut down the middle, both horizontally and vertically. I will then take those four squares and mix them up with the other blocks. The end result will be assembled like these quilts:
So here are the piles of fabric ready to be sent out!!
Can't wait to see them pop up in our Flickr group!

Baby Girl Warner finishing up!

Finishing up some final pieces to this French Toile / Gingham baby set.
2 of the 3 piece wall art is done.
Just need to add the ribbon, batting and staple on the third one.
Memory Board is done. I have since added the white buttons to the intersections. This turned out very cute!

The diaper bag tote is also done. Zipper Closure on top. A pocket on either side with a snap closure.

The Perfect Wall Prints

I absolutely love these prints that Craftily Ever After has been doing lately. I printed out my first batch at Christmas time and have been waiting on the edge of my seat to see whats next! I love that I can change these out with each season (willing... she does a complete year of this, she started at Halloween I believe).

She posted a New Years one... but it was after the new year already and I thought that I would just hold out until maybe Valentine's and see what she has then. ;) I do have these saved, so that next year I can print them to put in right after Christmas.

And then now she has posted a Valentines one!!

Bumper Pad

I can finally put all this polyester filling to some use!!

I got an awesome deal at JoAnns on this stuff because it was considered a Christmas item. It was on sale for $1.27 for a 24 oz. bag! Definitely beats the regular price of $6.99 a bag that you would normally pay. And it's no different! There is no glitter or frill to this batting, just plain ol' buffalo snow. ;)
After many hours on these ties, I finally was able to sew them and the piping to the main fabric. After breaking two needles in trying to get through the thickness, we've got it all sewn up. Well almost. I left a hole in each of the four panels on the bottom for stuffing the batting.
It was getting late tonight, but I really wanted to get one panel stuffed to see what it will look like. I'm very happy to say that i think it will look beautiful. I can't wait to show Kristy and Brandon.
