Cathedral Windows

At our recent A2MQG sew in, I volunteered to teach the cathedral windows, machine sewn version. Ginia taught us the hand sewn version, which I have yet to actually try. I was working on my machine version. And it turned into this little cutie. A little 6x6 in. mug rug. I could definitely see a quilt done up in this! Of course on a larger scale. :D

More Bee Blocks Complete!

Here are more that I have completed!! :D

Bee Blocks for Flickr groups

I've been keeping very busy lately with Bee Blocks for various Flickr groups. Even though I'm not actually my own blocks for my quilts, these are certainly fun to make for other people. I love seeing everyone else's fabric choices and being able to create different patterns. Pretty soon I'll be receiving all of my blocks in that they are making for me and will be putting my own quit together! Definitely looking forward to that! :D

Mug Rug Swap

We had a mug rug swap at our March meeting at Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild this week. I thought I would post a few pics of the mug rug I made. We ha about 16? of us there and had a very fun Yankee style swap! Cathy ended up with my mug rug and I got a beautiful mug rug that Emily made of fabrics and vintage sheets. I'll add pics of hers later too. :)
Mine measured about 10x10 inches, and was very fun in making. I should have made one for myself! ;)
