My Mind's Eye - Summer Song

This was such a fun bedding set to do. I met Danielle on a Yahoo group for August 2009 Mommies, when I was pregnant with Brady and she was pregnant with Aiden. The boys are now 15 months old and she is expecting a little girl in February!
I loved working with Danielle and getting all the colors that she wanted to incorporate into this set. And it turned out really cute all compete. I can't wait to see pics of it in her room as well!

Thank You Danielle for your business!

Amy Butler / Waverly

This is a beautiful set that is now complete. The crib skirt has embroidered insects on it. Two fitted crib sheets were made. A set of 84" curtains panels with honeycomb accents complete the look.

Finishing Up.

I've gotten a lot accomplished these last few days. I worked on two diaper and wipes pouches for a custom order. The buyer happens to be a co-worker so I dropped these off to her this evening.

I finished up the back tab curtain panels for the Amy Butler / Waverly set. I'll be getting some pictures taken of this all set up tomorrow!

I am just about done with piecing together scraps for the Summer Song boppy pillow cover that was added to this set, to match.
I've a little bit more piecing together and then this will be ready for cutting, ironing on interfacing, and then sewing together.

I've got a few scraps still left over and will be using them to piece more of this. Also need to go to JoAnns and get some minky fabric for one side of the pillow cover.

I also got a couple packages in the mail from my Co-op's. One contained some polymailers and replacement rotary blades. The other box included Michael Miller fabric that I ordered at some great prices!

So I'm excited to see what I can do with the Christmas prints. Oh and the giraffes would make great baby items as well!

Fabrics Ordered

I just ordered a LARGE amount of fabric for my next order. 33 yards to be exact!
A beautiful lavender / cream French Toile, and gingham to match.
Lots of pieces in this order for a very special baby girl that is due February 14th.
This will keep me busy over the next couple months!

Summer Song Quilt

I finished up the stitching on this quilt the other night.

Tonight I worked on the binding. It turned out really cute, with a wonky kind of feel to it. I stitched around it 3 times and made it with irregular lines and just added some character to it.

The bedding set is complete for Danielle. So I'm excited to get some pictures taken of this set. She just put in an order for a boppy pillow cover, so I have that to make too. :)

Crib skirt

I worked on a crib skirt tonight, and can say that I just LOVE this fabric and how the pleats turned out on this!!
Allison, I know you will love it too!

I have the curtain panels left on this set, and then it's done!

Something Messy, Something New

Something Messy?

My sewing area right now. I've got strings everywhere, pins of all types mixed together and needs sorting. Folded fabric, wrinkled out of the dryer fabric. Fabric scraps in bins, on table, in bags. Trash bins that over flowing.
I'm thinking I need to take 30 minutes one of these nights and get cleaned up and organized. Even though I feel pretty organized. Everything is out where I can see it! ;)

Something New?

I've recently ordered new custom labels. I had to buy from a new vendor (BellaMental on etsy) and am pretty happy with how they turned out. I ordered three different styles this time. Two foldys, and one flat for quilts. I think I got about 30-40 of each style.

I also ordered some business cards from Overnight Prints on a great deal.

And I stocked up on my favorite fabric starch.

This is Niagara non-aerosol spray and it's wonderful! Much better than the aerosol, it's a light to medium mist. It has a great scent to it, not like the other starches. And it's only $1.87 at Target!! If you can find this, pick it up. You'll love it too.

I hope you enjoyed my mess and my new. Im looking forward to starting on finishing the basement next month. We are working on the playroom (behind me) and my sewing/craft room. I've got many ideas running through my head as to how I want to set it up and decorate it with storage for everything. So stayed tuned on pics of that later!
