House Day: 119 Loan Day: 136 Since all the inside of the walls is done with electrical, mechanical and plumbing, we have insulation starting their prep work. They went around to calk and foam all the doors and windows and corners.
House Day: 114 Loan Day: 131 More Final grading from Tylutki and he also laid the driveway base. Its asphalt gravels, or recycled asphalt. It will last longer than stone or other gravel, it won't be dusty to drive on, and it packs down really hard just like asphalt again. Although it looks soft and grainy now, it will pack down really well.
Chalking out the driveway and turnaround in blue paint.
The porch area is looking great with the grading now. And the well stack is looking more reasonable too, not so tall out of the ground.
The final driveway has been poured down. It has a great turn around for us. We still want to do a circle drive near the front of the house, but that will have to be something that we do on our own later.
House Day: 112 Loan Day: 129 Tylutki came out and did our septic and drain field. I didn't realize how big the septic system tank was. It is this HUGE concrete block with two lids to it that you can have your septic system cleaned out. And then from there, there are several perforated pipes that run into the drain field and the water goes back into the ground.
He has the trees marked in red where he needs to take them down for the drain field.
I stopped in the next day and was able to see the drain field all cleared out and the pipes are buried and ready for inspection from Greg at the County Health Dept.
The day after inspection, Tylutki came out and did final grading on the side yard and the drain field. It will actually look really nice to have more open grassy areas in the side/front yard. I think I will clean out the other brush around those trees to make it look like we have trees actually in our yard.
House Day: 106 Loan Day: 123 We returned the master bathroom freestanding tub because it would be too hard to clean around it with the cabinets next to it, and ordered the same time but in a drop in style. Well it FINALLY came in after several weeks! I was able to fit it in my car and I brought it over to the new house.
Our plumber cut the deck board and fit it right in. I can't wait to see the tile wrapped around the tub.
Master shower pipes all set up.
Double sinks in the master bathroom.
Its always good to see some approval stickers on the front door!
